I got some major rainy butt cheeks from this lil’ stunt on the wet cement bench so plz support me in my endeavors in pursuit of celebrity!! And by celebrity I mean having actual real life people read my posts besides my mother and three friends.
SO…my “can’t make up my mind about any major life decisions” mood for the day was definitely reflected in my confused rapper/wannabe hipster OOTD (I felt very intimidating but a little boy ran away from me so win or lose for jenny??) This was one of those outfits where I put it on and I’m like “HAYLS YEAH BAMF” and then I walk outside and see people looking at me and I miss my sesame street pajamas and scold myself for my interesting fashion choices—included thigh high slit skirts that feel like loincloths and cornrows…but here’s the deal, ladies (and hopefully, gents:) A cool thing is to not care what people think about your outfit choices. If you want to wear something, WEAR IT. The only thing stopping me was the weird side-eyes from people, but if the outfit made me feel like the lovechild of Joan Jett and a confused Babysitter’s Club member, they can kiss my grits :) Wear what you want and don’t listen to others’ protest (or let their stupid disapproving judge-y looks make you feel belittled) YOU ARE A GODDESS AND THEY CAN BOW DOWN, BISHES (to quote our supreme ruler, Beyonce.) Top: borrowed from a friend (actually stolen is a better word because I’m keeping it, so thanks, Ari.) Maxi: Forever 21 ($12) (A fun thing is to flip it to the side so it DOESN’T look like I’m wearing a giant loincloth.) Flannel: Forever 21 ($7) Keds: Amazon.com ($21) (If you’re ever making a popular shoe brand purchase like Dr. Martens, Converse, Keds, etc. check out Amazon first because they are usually quite a bit cheaper!) Necklace: BoDy CeNtRal ($4) (I never really shop there, but this necklace was a total steal AND I learned that they have an awesome jewelry section!) As usual, thanks to my hip friend Maggie for being my photographer!
